POP Subtitle Editor is an easy-to-use tool to write and add your own subtitles to any WMV, MPEG, AVI or QT video file. Write your texts on the fly while previewing the movie, and select both start and end times by using the same function key. Customize the font, size, colour, and position of your subtitles and generate AVI, MPEG or WMV files with just one click.

Adding subtitles to your video files is an easy task with POP Subtitle Editor, though you need to be an experienced user of this type of applications as no mistakes are allowed. POP Subtitle Editor does not give you the possibility of changing the text of a subtitle once entered and accepted by the editor. Likewise, if you selected the wrong start and/or end time, you will not be allowed to change any of them. Subtitles cannot be deleted either, though if you missed one you can add it to the list at any time and it will be shown on the selected frames.

What you can easily change and edit with POP Subtitle Editor is all the font properties–size, type, colour, and position. You can move the text up and down (very useful for subtitles with more than one line), left and right. Subtitles are always justified to the left margin, which is more obvious with long subtitles that take up two lines or more, though the whole text block can be centred if desired.

All in all, a useful tool, especially if you already have a script with the correct text and times for every subtitle. Otherwise, it lacks flexibility.

Does not work with MP4 files. What? Why? How Could It Not Work With The Most Common Video Format?

Top Man, You can convert a MP4 file to a MWV easily. I have the same problem, but I can solve it in that way.
